Moving Heat - Cooling Body
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is the season of expansion. Heat opens the pores, encourages circulation, and allows qi to move more freely throughout the body, making it an especially receptive time for healing.
Inspired by the Healing Clinics established by the Black Panther Party and the Young Lords in the late 1960s, Field Meridians' Healing Clinic offers a space for community-based care rooted in the belief that healing is both personal and collective. These clinics continue the tradition of sharing knowledge, preventative care, and accessible healing practices outside of conventional institutions.
Join us for an afternoon of free community auricular acupuncture, guided breathwork, shiatsu bodywork, and San Fu moxibustion patches for preventative immune therapy . All practices are designed to support the body through the hottest months of the year and preparation into the transitioning colder seasons.
CAREWORKERS AND LANDWORKERS TO THE FRONT: While all are welcome, priority is given to those caring for the land and its people.
DONATIONS are gratefully accepted and help us continue offerings like this
